We are delighted to welcome you back to PARC! Prior to visiting the Centre, please make sure you read the below information carefully.
PARC is back open!
In line with the latest easing of restrictions, all our services, facilities and programs are back to normal, with these requirements:
- Fully vaccinated environment: Access to PARC will be in line with the guidelines set out by the Victorian Government. Under these guidelines, every eligible person in the facility must be fully vaccinated (unless a valid exemption applies, please see below FAQs for information on exemptions),
- Check-in required at entry: All members, staff and visitors must check in every time you enter the facility, and display evidence of check in and vaccination status.
- Masks wearing is optional indoors
What does this mean for us at PARC?
With no capacity limits, we can get back to (pretty much) NORMAL OPERATIONS!
- Lap swimming and recreational swimming is back, along with the Aquatic Playground.
- The Warm Water Pool area is open, along with the Sauna, Spa and Steam Room (back to normal cacpity limits!)
- Swimming lessons are back from Monday 8 November, allowing a 6-week program in the lead up to Christmas.
- Gym is open and all equipment is available for use.
- Group Exercise Timetable resumes.
- Memberships are reactivated.
- Café is back for your delicious morning coffee and nutrition hit.
- Creche is back open, and all user groups are back.
PARC Entry Conditions
We will enforce strict Conditions of Entry, for patrons and staff, including sighting evidence of full vaccination prior to entry, QR Code Check-Ins, and social distancing.
What’s different to previous operations?
- Fully vaccinated environment: Access to the Centre will be in line with the guidelines set out by the Victorian Government. Under these guidelines, every person in the facility must be fully vaccinated (unless a valid exemption applies, see FAQs below on exemptions).
- Check-in required at entry: All members, staff, contractors and visitors must check in every time they enter the facility, and display evidence of check-in and vaccination status.
- Face masks required indoors: Anyone coming into PARC aged 8 and above needs to have a mask on, unless out of breath exercising, entering the pool, eating or drinking, or have a valid exemption.
- Birthday parties: Will resume in 2022!
All memberships have been reactivated
For the period of our closure, all memberships were placed on hold and you were not charged. We reactivated all Full Access and Aquatic Access memberships from reopen, and a direct debit will run on Monday 1 November. PARC Swim memberships and lessons resumed on Monday 8 November. Just a reminder that new membership fees came into effect on 30 September, and will be applied to your first direct debit. If you are not ready to return, please suspend your membership below.

Your health and safety within our facility is still our first priority, so it’s vital we all help to maintain our stringent COVID Protocols and Conditions of Entry for everyone in the Centre.

Who can access PARC in the initial reopen phase?
In-line with the State Government’s Roadmap requirements, in our initial reopen phase, we are only able to open PARC to people who can meet and demonstrate they are fully vaccinated to COVID-19 (unless a valid exemption applies).
We remind you that PARC is operating under Government requirements, and the PARC team are here to welcome and support the community to exercise, recreate and have fun. Please be respectful to all PARC users and staff. Behaviour that is abusive, threatening or intimidating will not be tolerated.
Will I have to show someone my Vaccination Certificate?
Yes. Every time you come to the Centre you will be required to check in via the Government QR code and show evidence of your check-in to the designated COVID-19 Check-In Marshall, located at our entrance. You will also need to show evidence of your vaccination status. We will accept:
- A COVID-19 digital certificate displayed through the Service Victoria app, Medicare app, or equivalent smartphone wallet,
- A printed version of your COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement issued by the vaccination provider, a medical practitioner or the Australian Immunisation Register, or
- Evidence of a valid exemption.
We encourage you to add your COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate to the Services Victoria App allowing you to both check-in at PARC and prove vaccination using the Services Victoria QR code without the need to show the digital or hardcopy certificate. For further information and instructions on the digital COVID Certificate, please visit: https://service.vic.gov.au/covid-19/add-covid-19-digital-certificate. We strongly encourage you to do this ahead of your first visit to the Centre.
Will you be letting non-vaccinated people into PARC?
No, in-line with State Government requirements, we are unable to permit people who are not fully vaccinated in our facility, in the initial reopen phases. We will allow unvaccinated patrons in that are exempt from the full vaccinated requirement.
Who is exempt from demonstrating their vaccination status on entry?
In-line with the latest State Government requirements, some people are exempt from demonstrating their vaccination status to enter PARC. Exemptions currently apply for (dated 25 November 2021):
- Students who are enrolled in an education and childcare service and attend an open premises for the purpose of an activity including an excursion.
- A patron who is a dependant of another patron that is fully vaccinated (carers or support workers)
- Patrons attending for the purpose of swimming lessons (both child and accompanying adult)
- Patrons with a valid medical exemption.
I’m not vaccinated, will you refuse my entry?
Yes. If you cannot demonstrate you are fully vaccinated or provide a valid exemption, we are unable to permit you in our facility, in the initial reopen phases. We will accept valid medical and other exemptions.

I’ve had my first and booked my second dose, can I still come in?
No. If you cannot demonstrate you are fully vaccinated or have evidence of a valid exemption, we are unable to permit people who are not fully vaccinated in our facility, in the initial reopen phases. Currently under 12 year olds can enter unvaccinated.
How do I demonstrate my vaccination status?
Any person attending our facilities will be asked to demonstrate they are fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 digital certificate displayed through the Service Victoria app, Medicare app, or equivalent smartphone wallet, or present a printed version of their certificate or immunisation history statement, or provide evidence of a valid exemption.
You can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Service Victoria app through MyGov or the Express Medicare Plus App. Our COVID Check-In Marshalls will be positioned outside the facility, to ensure that we meet our requirement of a fully vaccinated setting.
Our unwavering commitment continues to be the preservation of a healthy and safe environment for all staff and visitors, so we thank you for your understanding of these requirements placed upon the business, our staff appreciate your support in managing this new condition of entry.
Will you accept non-vaccinated patrons in the future?
We don’t know. We are not in control of the timelines for the State Government restrictions and therefore are not in a position to advise at this time. From the information available to us today, our facilities can only open to fully vaccinated patrons, so this requirement will remain in place until we are advised otherwise.

I had a birthday party booked, what happens to my booking?

Will the Warm Water Pool be accessible to those with special needs?
Yes. Wheelchairs and hoists will be available to assist with getting in and out of the pool, and these will be cleaned after each use.

To protect everyone who uses PARC, we have implemented strict conditions of entry. These must be adhered to to ensure the Centre remains safe, clean and open

- Face masks are to be worn. When you arrive at PARC, you will be required to wear your mask inside. Please continue to wear your mask unless out of breath exercising, entering the water or you have a medical exemption.
- Practise social distancing of 1.5 metres at all times. Follow the markers placed around the Centre to maintain a safe distance.
- Keep note of the capacity allowances in each area of the facility, particularly smaller spaces such as change rooms, sauna and steam room (when open). Be mindful of other patrons wanting to use these facilities and move through frequently.
- Everyone MUST bring their own towel and water bottle for workouts, no towel no workout applies.
- If you’re feeling unwell, please do not come into the Centre. You must stay home, seek medical advice and get tested.
- If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, please do not come to the Centre for 14 days, or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.
- Every person who enters the Centre is required to undertake some basic practices like disinfecting with sanitiser and being reminded to wipe down equipment after use.

Peninsula Leisure has a detailed COVID-safe plan. Our team is trained in these processes and measures include:
- Hand sanitiser stations ready to use
- All staff will wear face masks (apart from Group Ex instructors and Swim teachers during the sessions)
- Regular cleaning of high touchpoints
- Contact tracing of all individuals who enter the Centre
- COVID marshals in the Centre

Our supervising staff will be cleaning equipment and high touch points during and between sessions. We will also have two dedicated cleaners within the facility to clean change rooms and other common areas.

In addition to existing continuous cleaning protocols, we will add a rigorous, deep-cleaning and disinfecting process regularly. Our supervising staff will be cleaning equipment and high touch points during and between sessions. We will also have two dedicated cleaners within the facility to clean change rooms and other common areas.
Cleaning processes
We want to ensure PARC remains a safe and enjoyable environment for our entire community, so we have made some changes to the ways we manage the facility.
These new processes take PARC’s already recognised high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness – and takes them to the highest level.
Along with following all Government guidelines, and in addition to existing continuous cleaning protocols and the changes mentioned above, we are doing everything in our control to protect you and our community.
Use the disinfectant wipes provided
PARC visitors will be asked to use disinfectant wipes on equipment before and after use in addition to PARC’s cleaning protocols. Our disinfectant wipes have been approved by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and are proven to kill 99.99% of bacteria and viruses on hard surfaces. Disinfectant wipes will be available throughout the Centre.
Lockers
Lockers are available for use, if you wish. Regular cleaning of lockers is undertaken and we ask that patrons use hand sanitiser after using the lockers.
Locker hire will cost $2.50 to hire, or if you have your membership wrist band, it’s free for the initial opening period! Please note, these are new lockers and no receipts are issued as yet.

I want my child to come for a swim or workout, what do I need to do?

At PARC we adhere to a strict supervision and Watch Around Water Policy. As a result, we limit access to certain services based on age and supervision. Below is what is accessible, dependent on your child’s age:
- Children under 10 years old (0 – 9 years old): Are not permitted in the gym, group exercise classes, or the Warm Water Pool. They are permitted in the Main Pool but must be actively supervised by an adult over the age of 18, in the water with them. You will need to book and pay casually to use this pool.
- Children under 13 years old (10 – 12 years old): Are not permitted in our group exercise classes, or the Warm Water Pool. They are permitted in the gym, and in the Main Pool – but must have a supervising adult over the age of 18.
- Children under 16 years old (13 – 15 years old): Are not permitted in the Warm Water Pool. They are permitted in the Main Pool, our group exercises classes and the gym. You do not need a supervising adult to be in Centre with your child, but we do recommend it.
- Children under 18 years old (16 – 17 years old): Are permitted in the Main Pool, the gym, group exercise classes and the Warm Water Pool. You do not need a supervising adult to be in Centre.

I had a birthday party booked, what happens to my booking?
All user groups and birthday party bookings will be contacted by a member of the PARC Team. If you have not received contact please email info@parcfrankston.com.au and we will be able to help you!
I want to attend with my carer, do they need to pay?
No, your carer does not need to pay however everyone who comes into the Centre needs to check-in via the Government QR code.
When you arrive, please have your carer present their Companion card, and they will be allowed in for free to accompany you. Note – ‘Companion card’ is the only card accepted for free entry, we will not accept Carers cards.
Will the Warm Water Pool be accessible to those with special needs?
Yes. Wheelchairs and hoists will be available to assist with getting in and out of the pool, and these will be cleaned after each use.
Note – Each account must have a unique email address, you cannot share email addresses across accounts.
How do I create an account?
- Firstly, find the session you would like to book into via our website above
- Select that session you would like to book, and click sign up –>
- Click NEXT –>
- Then select CREATE PROFILE.
- Enter in your details, and follow the wizard to make your payment for that session.
You will receive a confirmation email with all your booking details.
What if I already have a My PARC account?
If you are a Complete or Aquatic member at PARC, you will have an account already set up. You can simply click the ‘FORGOT PASSWORD’ option if you are having trouble logging in and enter the email address you have registered with us (use the email address that you receives your emails from PARC). If you need assistance please feel free to contact the Centre and request a call back via info@parcfrankston.com.au.
Why won’t it recognise my email?
