PARC Community

At Peninsula Leisure we work towards delivering exceptional experiences by activating communities. We aim to educate and transform the way the community thinks about their health and fitness, with a goal to incite action. We have developed authentic programs that cater for the needs of the entire Frankston community and have identified four community pillars:

  1. Active ageing: PARC’s goal is to help seniors realise their potential for physical, social and mental well-being.
  2. Communities at risk: PARC’s goal is to ensure we provide a safe and inclusive environment, free from judgement, no matter what the individual’s circumstances are.
  3. Youth pathways: PARC’s goal is to provide dedicated programs, access and awareness of mental health issues at PARC and The Pines.
  4. Child safety: PARC’s goal is to ensure that all children ‘can swim’ and are safe around water.

We have established a number of partnerships to assist with expertise and delivery of our community programs:

  • Deakin University – undertaking a world first study to understand the best way to teach children how to swim.
  • Headspace, Mentis, Wellways and Neami – to understand the impact of mental health on patrons and staff.
  • St Vincent de Pauls; Salvo Care and Peninsula Health – to assist with developing structured pathway programs.
